Building opportunities for a more resilient future
WOVEN was founded with a clear purpose: to equip vocational training teachers and students to tackle the challenges of climate change and turn them into opportunities for development in rural communities.
Through educational innovation, entrepreneurship and international collaboration, the project promotes new skills that help to build more sustainable, inclusive and future-proof communities.
Project objectives
WOVEN works to make a real difference to education and employment through four main objectives:
To improve understanding of the GreenComp framework
We are introducing the European framework of competences for sustainability (GreenComp) to vocational education and training teachers through creative, digital and innovative methodologies that facilitate its application in the classroom.
Adapting Vocational Training to Climate Challenges
We are promoting an education system that is more closely aligned with the new professions related to adapting to climate change and protecting the most vulnerable rural communities.
To promote new employment opportunities
We promote the creation of professional networks that link education, entrepreneurship and the local area to improve employability and facilitate new opportunities for professional development.

International coordination, planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure that all activities are carried out correctly.
WP2 · GreenComp training materials and training
Design of the handbook, toolkit and educational resources to help teachers incorporate sustainability skills into the classroom.
WP3 · Study and pilot project
Research into new career opportunities related to climate change adaptation and the validation of methodologies through pilot projects.
WP4 · Professional network for climate adaptation
To create an international community that brings together educational institutions, teachers, students and professionals committed to the sustainable development of rural areas.
WP5 · From the classroom to action
Practical application of the knowledge acquired, enabling students to take part in real-world experiences and develop professional skills linked to sustainability.
